Brookings Monument Company first opened their doors in Brookings, SD in 1951 and continues to be a successful, employee owned and locally operated business today. People often comment about the little white building on South Main Ave. with

gravestones out front being there as far back as they can remember.

A life long Brookings area resident, Lisa (Minor) Friedrich started her work as a memorial consultant in 2012 is proud of her retail business history.

The Brookings Monument Company showroom offers a selection of granite from all over the

United States as well as Norway, India, and Canada. The client's selection is limitless with a vast

array of colors, styles, finishes, and designs. Used for monuments in the cemetery or in a

business setting, each purchase is customized as ordered. Granite and limestone benches are

on display with choices for cremation. Lisa is able to sit with you and together tell the memory of

your loved one on a MonuVision computer design.  You will be able to see the creation before

you sign the purchase order.
